What is FINTRAC FWR?
The FINTRAC Web Reporting System, commonly abbreviated as FWR, is the official online portal provided by the Government of Canada for reporting entities to submit regulatory reports to FINTRAC (Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada).
FWR is designed for manual, individual report submissions and is typically used by lower-volume reporting entities (1-2 reports per month) or those who do not want to have automated compliance systems. Through FWR, you can submit Large Cash Transaction Reports (LCTRs), Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs), Electronic Funds Transfer Reports (EFTRs), and other required filings.

- •Need FWR access?Request access to the Web Reporting System by emailing F2R@fintrac-canafe.gc.ca.
- •Need API access?API access (test and production) is requested separately by emailing tech@fintrac-canafe.gc.ca.
- •Forgot password / reset:Use the "Forgot password" link on the FWR login page to reset your credentials.
- •Wrong portal (FWR vs API):Make sure you're using the correct portal for your submission method. FWR is for manual entry; API is for automated systems.
- •Timeouts / session expiry:Sessions expire after inactivity. Save your work frequently and log in again if needed.
